We are looking for an experienced SEO Specialist who’s passionate about strategy, data analytics and building lasting client relationships to join our innovative Digital Marketing team.

The preferred candidate will have prior SEO experience and be able to demonstrate knowledge across the core areas of SEO marketing, including technical. You’ll be involved in various internal and client projects so you’ll need to have excellent time management, organisation and communication skills. We work with a wide range of clients across a variety of industries, so this position requires someone that is able to adapt to the different requirements of each client.

About You

You should be driven by user metrics and campaign results, and be passionate about building lasting relationships with new and existing clients. We’re looking for an experienced SEO Specialist who can hit the ground running.

You should be a strong communicator with excellent written ability who’s confident liaising and managing internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently or as part of a team, and share ideas and recommendations to improve campaign performance and work processes.

You’ll need to have excellent organisation and be confident managing your own workload and prioritising tasks. You should have good timekeeping to deliver projects and contracts on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will be pro-active in monitoring keyword rankings, website performance and industry news, such as search engine algorithm updates.

You should be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge in on-site, offsite and technical SEO, and be well-versed in SEO best practices.

Your Responsibilities

  • Being assigned to dedicated accounts, developing and owning SEO campaigns, as well as providing ad hoc support to the Projects team.
  • Conducting in-depth SEO Audits & Competitor Analysis.
  • Developing SEO strategies that are aligned with client goals, objectives and KPIs.
  • Making strategic recommendations to clients and internal teams to improve websites for SEO and UX.
  • Researching and compiling data to inform decision making pertaining to campaign performance.
  • Able to set-up Google Analytics (Universal and GA4) and implement via Google Tag Manager.
  • Performing keyword research and analysis to identify keyword opportunities, including SERP features.
  • Conducting on-site and off-site SEO tasks conforming to best practice guidelines.
  • Working with the content team to develop content strategies based on opportunities and gaps.
  • Strong written ability to write original content that is optimised and tailored for the target audience.
  • Make technical recommendations in-line with SEO best practice and work closely with the in-house development team to implement changes.
  • Preparing and delivering monthly client reports.

Skills & essential criteria required

  • A minimum of 2 years’ SEO experience in a similar role client side or in an agency
  • Ability to spot technical SEO issues and interpret HTML
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines and work on multiple projects
  • Excellent writing and language skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong planning and communication abilities
  • Experience using CMS platforms such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Umbraco, Shopify, etc.
  • Experience using SEO tools such as Searchmetrics, SE Ranking, Majestic SEO, Screaming Frog, HotJar, etc.
  • Experience using Google products: Analytics (GA4), Search Console, Tag Manager, Data Studio, Business Profiles, Optimize, Ads.

Desirable criteria

  • Basic HTML and CSS
  • Experience in A/B Testing for CRO and UX
  • An understanding/interest of cookie management
  • Experience in building client relationships
  • Google Analytics and Tag Manager training certifications
  • Marketing degree (or equivalent) is welcomed but not required with relevant experience
  • Full UK driving licence
