IT Support Agreement & Consultancy

In 2010 we were approached by the newly formed Salisbury City Council following the creation of Wiltshire County Council and dissolution of Salisbury District Council.

Initially this was to provide a fixed cost support agreement to support all of their new infrastructure that was in the process of being implemented by former District Council employees. Subsequent to this we have engaged with them to expand their operation across 3 geographically distinct sites and have performed a full server hardware refresh alongside servicing a support agreement thought that period.

In late 2010, Salisbury City Council approached us to assist with movement of their infrastructure to a new building, in conjunction with an historic building refurbishment to occur in mid-2011, and to integrate two pre-existing buildings into the systems.

Working closely with multiple third parties, we consulted with Salisbury City Council to conduct a tendering process to select a WAN communications provider to provision a multi-site solution allowing them to integrate all three sites onto one network. This equipment move and multi-site implementation was successfully conducted over a long weekend resulting in minimal downtime for the Council’s mission critical operations.

In 2013, we consulted with Salisbury City Council to perform a server refresh on all server hardware. Once the consultation phase had finished, we agreed on an implementation date and were able to deliver the new server solution including a new Exchange Server with Exchange 2013, a number of VM Host machines, a new backup system and a variety of other new hardware and software. Once again, this was performed over a long weekend resulting in minimal downtime and was delivered on budget.

Throughout this period we have successfully delivered a comprehensive, fixed cost support agreement for Salisbury City Council, tailored to their precise requirements with defined SLA’s and top quality service throughout.

This project highlights our ability to work closely with clients to assist them with change management. It demonstrates our commitment to nascent technologies and to remaining at the leading edge of technological developments.

Furthermore, it proves our ability to work with complex projects involving substantial numbers of users, deal with large hardware deployments and to liaise with third party suppliers to ensure as smooth a delivery as possible.

This clearly demonstrates our ability to work with a wide range of technologies, delivery quality service and to build and maintain long term relationships with growing clients and complex, changing systems.
