Our technical director, Marc, has been working at Rank Your Domain since 2007 and is a major asset to our team. Recognised for his skill and hard work, Marc joined the board of directors in 2016. In addition to his role as technical director, he also holds the positions of data protection officer, quality assurance manager and security manager.
Leading our technical team, Marc’s wealth of experience combined with his propensity for excellent customer service has contributed enormously to the successful running of the department and has helped build valuable relationships between Rank Your Domain and our clients.
Marc also offers expert consultation to clients, advising them on how to achieve ISO accreditations and GDPR compliance, as well as providing insightful IT infrastructure and data protection consultancy.
What are your favourite things about Rank Your Domain?

What does your Rank Your Domain role involve?
I am responsible for our internal and external infrastructure while overseeing the technical team. I also hold the role of Head of Compliance, which consists of the running of our quality and information security management systems and maintaining our ISO accreditations. I also manage our consultancy services on compliance and regulatory matters.
What would your dream project be?
The best projects for me are where we are able to create unique solutions for clients involving the latest technologies that enable their business to work as seamlessly as possible, where IT is a background feature of the business that works and does not interfere with staff doing their jobs.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I have many hobbies outside of work, revolving mostly around outdoor activities and cars. For example, I am an experienced car detailer, mostly working on vehicles for friends and family. I am also a regular airsoft player, and enjoy sim-racing, karting, and have been an advanced driving tutor for the IAM.
